4. How to implement

This chapter is aimed at project managers of approved projects funded by the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme 2021-2027. In this chapter you can find guidance on all procedures related to project implementation. This includes formalities related to the start up phase after project approval, the programme’s approach to monitoring project implementation including changes, and the programme’s control system. In addition, this chapter describes the routines for project reporting and claiming of expenditure, as well as requirements for project communications. It is the responsibility of the Lead Partner to make sure that the project proceeds according to plan. In case there are departures from the original plan, the Lead Partner needs to respond to the various situations that develop due the course of the project’s lifetime.
